Merkel ready for painful concessions for coalition deal

BERLIN (Reuters) - Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Tuesday her conservatives were willing to make painful concessions to seal a coalition deal with the centre-left Social Democrats (SPD) to pull Germany out of political deadlock.
