Siemens, Alstom join forces to create European rail champion

FRANKFURT/PARIS (Reuters) - German industrial group Siemens and French rival Alstom agreed on Tuesday to merge their rail operations, creating a European champion to better withstand the international advance of Chinese state-owned CRRC.
