UK awards key rail contracts to firms including crisis-hit Carillion

(Reuters) - Britain on Monday awarded $8.6 billion worth of contracts to companies to build a new high-speed rail network, naming a string of construction firms including the crisis-hit Carillion to deliver the major infrastructure project.
